Ali

We are thrilled to introduce Ali Marie (Alicia Krause) as lead vocalist for Hyndesight! With an extensive and varied musical background, Ali’s journey into music began at an early age, growing up surrounded by the sounds of her mother, a pianist. Ali spent many hours singing at church and other settings, but one of her fondest childhood memories was playing duets on the piano, then lying underneath the bench listening to her mother continue to play.

Though she initially had no intention of pursuing a career in singing, it wasn’t until her 20s that she discovered her desire to share her voice with the world. She began performing in choirs and praise teams, but it wasn’t long until she developed a passion for performing on stage. She was invited to sing in several weddings, but her career blossomed as she auditioned for and performed in a variety of shows, including the Greenville Follies, a semiannual variety show that raised money for charities. Ali also found a home in the country and western Opry circuit, performing all over DFW and East Texas venues like Johnny High’s Country Music Review, the Grapevine Opry, Carrollton and Wylie Opry houses, and the Garland Opry. During this time, she even had the honor of singing alongside LeAnn Rimes on several occasions.

Ali’s talent took her to Branson, where she had the privilege of opening for legends like Charlie Pride and popular artists such as Brooks and Dunn. Though she enjoys dabbling with a few instruments, it is her voice that she considers her primary instrument, and she is dedicated to honing it to perfection.

Throughout her singing career, Ali has been involved in several cover and tribute bands, including Buffett Beach - A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett, and Dive Bar Boombox, as well as performing with the renowned Johnny Romo Band (now known as Rhythmic Arrest). Currently, she is part of Forever Young - A Tribute to Rod Stewart, and her beloved acoustic duo, Just an Alibi.

Additionally, Ali has recorded several covers in her own unique style, as well as a few originals. She is currently recording with an original artist and has been featured on his first single, soon to be released! But it’s her work with Hyndesight that she holds closest to her heart. With a deep commitment to learning and delivering each song with authenticity and professionalism, Ali is dedicated to providing the highest quality performances for her audience.

Her passion for music and her dedication to her craft are integral to both her personal brand and the success of Hyndesight. We are excited to have Ali onboard and look forward to an incredible musical journey together!

Theron

When Theron first picked up a guitar at age 11, little did the world know it was the beginning of an epic musical journey that would span genres, decades, and probably a few questionable fashion choices. Inspired by the blazing riffs and pyrotechnic antics of Ace Frehley on Destroyer (the KISS album that single-handedly convinced a generation of kids that guitar was cooler than anything else), Theron knew one thing for sure: music was going to be loud, rebellious, and — hopefully — a little bit ridiculous.

Fast forward to today, and Theron is a bona fide rock & roll survivor who’s played in more bands than most people have had hot meals. From punk and rock to metal and country, Theron has been there, done that, and broke more than a few strings along the way. Whether it was shredding in a heavy metal band signed to a label and rocking the clubs on the Sunset Strip in LA, or getting people to dance at honky-tonk bars while twanging out country hits, Theron has always been about one thing: versatility.

One of his most legendary (or at least highly entertaining) gigs was as a member of a Cheap Trick tribute band, Cheap Trickster, where he tried his very best to channel Rick Nielsen’s guitar wizardry, and may or may not have gotten a little too into the whole “multi-neck guitar” thing. But these days, Theron is still rocking hard, now as a part of two tribute projects: Buffett Beach, a tribute to the sun-soaked tunes of Jimmy Buffett, and Hyndesight, where he takes on the tough task of channeling James Honeyman-Scott’s iconic riffs and attitude. So yeah, he’s no stranger to pulling off some serious musical transformations.

But if you think this is a “one-genre-wonder,” think again. Theron has crisscrossed the musical landscape, shredding everything from fast-paced punk anthems to the intricate, head-banging riffs of metal. And let’s not forget the twang of country, which has made him equally at home wearing leather jackets or cowboy boots. He’s proof that guitarists don’t just have to pick one lane; they can take all the lanes and make their own road trip mixtape.

From the Sunset Strip to beach bars and everything in between, Theron proves that no musical challenge is too big, no stage too small, and no guitar solo too long. So, whether you catch him playing "Margaritaville" with a parrot on his shoulder or cranking out a Pretenders riff like it's 1983, you can be sure of one thing: it’s going to be loud, it’s going to be fun, and — most importantly — it’s going to rock!

Pat

Mark

Pat Calabrese grew up in New Jersey and, living next door to New York City, was exposed to a wide array of music and great musicians in his formative years. One of his first serious drumming gigs began at age 20, playing in a Frank Zappa tribute band, which worked venues large and small all around New York and New Jersey.

He also spent a few years on the Jersey Shore bar band circuit, pounding away in all the popular beach bars and clubs, as well as in the Atlantic City casinos. At the same time, Pat also worked regularly with a jazz quartet which self-produced a CD of original music, and he was active in the orchestra pits of local community theaters all over the state.

Pat moved to DFW in 2005 and currently works with a number of other local tribute and cover bands, such as Pure Collins: A Serious Tribute to Phil Collins and Buffett Beach. Additionally, he is a first-call sub for well-known bands such as 90 Proof Country, 3 Drunk Monkeys, and Don’t Tell Mama.  DFW music fans may have also seen Pat perform in previous tenures with Burning Sky Band, and Even It Up: The Ultimate Heart Tribute Band.

Mark

Mark started playing bass at the age 13 and played in various bands throughout high school. He often found himself to be the youngest player in most bands he was in which took him to playing in local clubs while still being under age. After such shows, he still managed to remember most things. The music genres he grew up listening to were Rock, R&B and Motown.

After a long hiatus taken to raise a family, he returned to playing music again and for the past 25 years he's enjoyed playing in various Rock, Country, and Top 40 bands throughout D/FW.

Mark has played at many private and corporate shows including stints at House of Blues Dallas and Victory Plaza before Dallas Stars games.

He has currently found himself in the midst of a great lineup, joining a group of phenomenal musicians that make up Hyndesight and is looking forward to keeping the music of Chrissie Hynde and The Pretenders alive and well.

Dean

Mark

Dean

Dean began playing guitar at the age of 9. Growing up, the Beatles and Kiss started his love of guitar playing. As time progressed, Dean developed an appreciation for classical music and played the double bass in the school orchestra, competing in All Region at one point.

At the age of 17 he briefly studied classical guitar, but decided that the art of rock, jazz, and country guitar playing was more to his liking.

Dean has played in many cover bands and tribute bands over the last 20 years and is excited to be a part of Hyndesight.
